I am a FAANG Software Development Engineer with a degree in Computer Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. My passion is empowering learners to achieve their goals.

I first began tutoring Mathematics in 2011 and since then have taught hundreds of students through both private lessons, group sessions. In early 2017, I was employed by the University of Denver to tutor first and second year engineering students in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, Signal Processing, Embedded Systems, and Digital Design. Courses include but are not limited to Calculus I-III, Multivariable, Differential Equations, Procedural Programming, Circuits I - II, University Physics I-III, Data Structures/Algorithms.

Informal greetings followed by understanding the goals of the student, assessing their current standing, and hearing their preferred method of learning, and educational background. I believe like all skills, teaching is a constantly iterative process and each student faces unique challenges so I try to constantly adjust my instruction over time.
I have worked with students of all different backgrounds and ages ranging from elementary school students to college students.
Math: find someone who is comfortable teaching something in multiple ways. The classic style of "this is how I learned it" just isn't worth the money. A tutor should at least be more helpful than a youtube video.
Computer Science/Programming: find someone who has worked in industry. Theory and application of that theory to problems is great. Understanding how that is implented at scaled and made easy to use and understand by other developers is critical.
I am very fond of a moment when I was tutoring a middle school student in the very basics of html/css and we got to the point of hosting a page locally. The very first time he edited the html and saw the page react his face lit up and he felt empowered as a creator. Immediately he rapidly described all the additions he was going to make to the page and how "awesome" it was going to be.
