About Sarah
I am a dance artist and teacher. I offer ballet and modern dance lessons to ages 6-102.
As a dance teacher I would give private lessons to a student at a designated location, with masks on and properly distanced or open space (weather permiting), with the same safety precautions.
I can teach beginners through advanced and help hone skills that are already in progress. There is vocabulary and proper posture, technique and history that I incorporate into the lessons. I tailor the lessons to the student.
I bring a unique look of dance learning and artistry to the lessons. Giving everyone a chance to learn, be challenged, and grow as a person.
I love seeing the work and determination that goes into learning dance. There is a moment of "A ha!" That is great to see. It is a joy and now a teaching challenge for all of dance that I enjoy bringing to my community.
I believe anyone can dance.
I have been dancing for over 20 years in both ballet and modern techniques. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Technical Theatre and a Bachelors of Arts in Dance that have prepared me to teach and dance professioanlly.
I also like working with all ages of people and enjoy the challenges that come with dance.

About the lesson

To start we would need to establish where the student is in their training. This is better done in person but can also be established via video or virtually. Whether they are at the beginning, in the middle or a more advanced stage of training. Then we would discuss schedules and duration of time private lessons are to be given, what method works best for the situation and go from there. Payment would be paid at the beginning of every class or set of classes and if there needed to be make up days to classess missed then that would be discussed.
And we would learn and dance!
I work with all persons. Beginner, Intermediate, and more advanced.

Standard in-person pricing is $60/hour for lessons that are 0-10miles from my home
An hour long private lesson is better for the student and the teacher.
For persons who live further out 11-20miles the rate is $70/hour.
For virtual lessons: $50/hr
Payment is accepted through paypal, cash or check. An Invoice can be provided upon request.
