About Sarah
Hi! I have been playing music for 15 years now. When I was younger, I found a joy for listening and playing Bluegrass and Old-Time music and have loved it ever since. When it came to choosing a college, it was obvious that I choose East Tennessee State University where they have an extensive Bluegrass, Country, Old-Time, and Celtic program where I have learned so much about teaching, performing, and playing my desired instruments. I play fiddle, though mostly Old-Time tunes, and I play a little clawhammer banjo, but my primary instrument is the stand-up bass. I have put many hours, sweat, and literal blood into learning this instrument and would love to share my knowledge of it. I am in my senior year at ETSU and would love to develop my career teaching music.
If you would like to learn beginner fiddle or how to pick tunes on the upright bass, I would love to teach you! It's never too late to learn!
