About Alma
I love working with kids and teens, but work with adults on regular basis. I make my classes fun, but still structured and efficient. I took numerous classes while getting my BFA and I have a tendency to follow an academic curriculum, so students usually see a major difference in their work within the first class. I work online.
I enjoy passing my knowledge and seeing how people grown and learn. I also learn new things from each and every student.
During my graduate school, I worked as an Assistant for a drawing class. After receiving my MFA, I started working for a local non-profit organization teaching art to kids, teens and adults.
I have a BFA from the Academy of the Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where I was trained to be an art teacher as well as an academic figurative sculptor/painter. I received my MFA in Studio Art from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) in Philadelphia, PA. I have been teaching drawing classes for kids (8 years and older) and painting and drawing classes for teens and adults since 2014. I work with groups or one on one. I also prepare students for art schools and I help them develop their portfolios.
I live and work in the Gateway Art District where I have my own art studio. Feel free to come and visit any time. :)

Through a simple conversation, I assess the skills and the needs of the student. I also look at any previous work student shares with me. From that point on, I establish the starting point where I believe that student will be comfortable beginning his/her journey. Throughout my work, I provide a lots of tips, videos and tutorials.
I believe that drawing and painting are skills that can be learned.
Kids age 6 and up, teens and adults.
Find a teacher who has good art skills and great knowledge and experience in passing those skills onto his/her students. All of us who were thought how to paint, draw, and sculpt are more than equipped to pass that knowledge in an appropriate way. Art making includes rules that when learned and followed will greatly improve your work.
