About Tony toneji
i specialize in teaching and performance of West African djembe, dundun drums major focus in Malinke traditional as well as Wollof traditional rhythms and their function and use in everyday life. I am an understudy of Samba coumba ngom of Lotmengeh, Gambia, W.A, also understudy of Teber Milandou-Sita of Congo, mainly influenced by Mamady kieta, famadou konate and Fadouba Olare. Also teaching bongo and conga in latin, carribean, jazz and rhythm/blues styles of music. Drum circle facilitator and drum workshop presenter. Drum rhythms and types of drums historical, cultural and social aspects are taught for full understanding and enhancement of lessons. 40 years experience with bongo/ conga drums.22 years experience with Djembe/Dundun drums.
