About Ludo
I am originally from Italy and grew up in the south of France where I graduated from the Dante Agostini jazz school of Drumming and the classical conservatory of music and arts where he studied classical music. I started my career as a professional musician at the age of 16. After graduating, I decided to move to Los Angeles, CA in 1988 where I went on to graduate with honors from the Percussion Institute of Technology in Hollywood and studied with Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphrey and Steve Houghton. I started playing professionally in the Los Angeles area with different recording artists and bands in all styles of music. After 8 years playing, recording and writing music in Los Angeles, I had the opportunity to move to Nashville, TN to continue my career as a session drummer and music composer. In 2002, I moved to Dallas, TX, to work with the most respected musicians in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area where I am the owner of “La Dolce Vita Recording Studios” and the independent record label “Luna Records.” Through the years, I have worked nonstop as a drummer on stages and in recording studios all over the world. As a drum teacher, I haVE taught and conducted drum clinics all over the world for over 20 years. I am also a well respected music composer and producer for my work with various international artists, television shows and the motion picture industry.

Teaching music to children can be challenging, Every student is different and every student need is different. If the student has already had lessons, I first ask questions to the sudents and parents to know what they have already learned or experience. No need to go backwards unless, proper techniques were not applied from past teachers, the goal here is to learn new things and go forward.
If the student has no experience with the instrument. Learning proper techniques is first, then diving into learning notes, how to read and write music is essential. And incorporating the knowledge to fun stuff, like learning songs and playing along with songs.
