About Kevin
I teach rock, jazz and concert band instruments to musicians of all ages, taking you from where you are to where you want to be. I have over 25 years of experience combined with state certification.
We love to see the spark in a student’s eye when they ‘get it!’
I fell in love with music in middle school and decided that I wanted to make it my life!
I have 25 years experience in the classroom teaching rock, jazz and band instruments to K-12 students as well as pop and classical voice to K-8 students and adults. I am also a rock, jazz, classical and sacred music performer. I'd love to teach you all I know!

I ask the student what they are interested in learning. Then, I tailor your lesson plan to these interests as well as age-appropriate musical knowledge.
I have worked with 4K-12 graders as well as adults.
Look for a musician that has experience with teaching kids. A good musician is not necessarily a good teacher and vise verse.
My most recent 2nd grade chorus rehearsal was wonderful! They have tuned their ears so well and match pitch so nicely. My adult choir sounds awesome in their latest rehearsal with prepared pieces as well as sight reading and handbells.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Are they willing to practice? Learning anything takes time, and learning to perform music takes repetition.
