About Jacob
Jacob's Drum Lessons offers quality, affordable lessons in studio and over zoom. My teaching philosophy is centered on learning to play by listening. During a lesson you can expect to play along to your favorite songs, try fun challenging excercises, learn to read music through interactive games, and explore the work of famous drummers. I enjoy sharing providing students with the experience of trying something new! My favorite part of giving a lesson is supporting students as they dive into stomething that challenges them. I feel that I am in my element when I am encouraging and motivating students. Most of all I love seeing a student smile when they finally learn how to play a new fill or groove!

Typically, we figure out what we already know and go from there. If a student is playing the drums for the first time, we will play a game to learn the names of the drums and then play along to simple songs like "We Will Rock You" and "Seven Nation Army". For those with more experience, we will work through songs and exercises they already know or ones they want to learn.
