I love drums and music. Playing the drums is a great way to get and stay in tune with your body. It helps mental and physical health, as well as helps build and maintain hand-eye coordination.
I got started teaching drums, percussion, and music theory at Musicians Institute, Hollywood, Ca. after recieving my degree. I have continued to do so as a private instructor ever since.
I have my Bachelor of Music in Performance, as well as Professional & Journeyman certificates in Percussion. I have taught numerous international students as an instructor at Musicians Institute, Hollywood for almost 10 years. It has been my honor to play and record with Grammy award winning players and producers. I also have experience touring nationally.

I like to assess a student's technical proficiency and then learn what their ultimate musical goals are. I then try to find the best path to get the student there, covering the fundamentals along the way, and overcoming any challenges that present themselves.
I have mainly taught international students in the intermidiate to advanced levels of proficiency, but hope to expand to teaching children... they are the future of music (and the key to a better society).
Be ready to put in the work if you really want to learn a new craft. Drums are something anybody can learn to play, but it takes time and dedication to master.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students need to be honest with themselves as to what their musical goals are. Particularly, when those goals change or expand. Be willing to grow into newfound knowledge.
Some players just want to "get a little better," some to "be a rockstar" or "get famous," and some want to be the very best player they can. A few want a combination of the latter two. When we know what you want from your drumming, we can begin the next journey.

I currently teach "at home" in Hollywood and at the Pasadena Piano Academy. I am also willing to travel up to 20 miles from Hollywood (maybe more for certain occasions) for "In-home" lessons.
