About Sarah
Hello everyone! I am an MBA student with 4 years professional experience in communications and writing. I have done both academic, professional, and application writing and know what it takes to deliver an outstanding product. Over the last 3 years, I have mentored many individuals at work to improve their writing and communications skills. I use a framework for writing that not only makes the finished product highly effective, but is also easy to complete for the writer and is repeatable over time. I'm looking forward to working with you!
Clear communication is so important in this world, especially as more and more gets done online or over email. I love helping others communicate clearly so that they get the outcomes they want while pleasing their teachers and/or customers. I also love helping teach others to do this over and over again and feel most satisfied when you are comfortable going out on your own!
I have a liberal arts BA, with honors, including many writing courses. I also have four years of business professional experience, where I was trained in several communications and writing frameworks and have since facilitated several trainings/courses.

First, I like to understand the student themselves - what are their goals, their challenges, their fears. This helps me understand what exactly we need to accomplish together. Then, we work to break down the assignment or skill we will be tackling to understand what the ultimate goal of the tutoring session will be. Finally, we develop a plan for the session and any future sessions, figuring out what we will work on and in what order to meet the goals of the tutoring.
