About Liz
As the recipient of my high school's Creative Writing Award (out of 800 students), I excel in various English related subjects. As an Honors English and Honors Public Speaking student, I perfected my communications, writing, editing and proofreading skills, and gained a high A in both classes. I served as president of my high school's Creative Writing club for 3 years, and completed an advanced Creative Writing Independent Study course designed just for me. I applied to 12 competitive colleges and was accepted into 10, which was in part due to my essay. I have an in-depth understanding of the college application process, and the types of essays that get attention from admissions. I proofread and edited a number of my peers’ college essays while a senior in HS. I also worked with my middle school teacher in an internship, assisting her with 8th grade English and Lirerature classwork and paper grading. I am proficient in writing, editing, proofreading and grammar for all grade levels (K-12). I have successfully tutored a multitude of students ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade. I am a student at Emerson College, which is known for its writing and communication programs and have a 3.93 GPA.
I utilize an individual approach, and take the time to understand a student’s needs and personality. I consider myself a patient and fun tutor, but I expect my students to do the work and meet deadlines. I look forward to helping you!
