About Elizabeth
I have been teaching for 5 years now. I started when I was 15. I constantly never understood why school work had to be strict with no actual outcome. I never understood why we had to sit in chairs at a desk in order to learn. So I decided my teaching style will fit my students. I am a very unconventional teacher but I stand by my work.
I was 15 years old and decided to apply as a literacy aid for an elementary school. I got hired and realized how much I truly love teaching.
I have taught elementary school for the past 5 months as a reading tutor. I was a teacher aid in high school for a year which included reading over essays, grading and understanding the requirements.

I try to get to understand the student first. By understanding the student you understand exactly what the student needs in order to succeed.
I have worked with kindergarten students all the way through fifth grade, as well as high school students. I have worked with students who have experienced trauma as well as the advanced level to the level that needs an extra push to strive.
Look for a teacher who you are comfortable with, who you can connect with this way you are able to get the help you truly need.
Recently my work had a field day. It was a very nice day to be able to goof around with my students all day long.

Yes. The first lesson is always free. That lesson is primarily a chance for me to meet the student therefore I will better be equipped to help them. Not every student is the same therefore the teaching technique will vary. Lessons afterwards start at 15$.
