About Devin
Hello all, My name is Devin and I am a student at Grand Valley State. I am studying to become an english teacher with the plans to teach across the world! I would consider myself an advid writer who is always looking for new oppurtunities to expand what I can write about. I am in need of a second job and figured being an english tutor would really help aid my knowledge in teach english.
I would like to help inspire as many people as I possibly can. I believe I have a gift to inspire, with that gift comes a resopnsibility to help as many people as I can. I beieve being a teacher is my best oppurtunity in doing so.
I have tutored students for roughly three years. My junior and senior year of highschool I helped aid and tutor my english teachers freshman classes. This followed me to college as last year I put almost 100 hours of english tutoring in one semester alone.

I would first like to get comfortable with my student. Opening myself up and allowing for any awkwardness in the air to leave. I would like to rule out any distractions and just allow the students mind to flow freely.
I have worked with majority of all ages, K-12. I have even worked with students that have disablitlities. I believe there isn't a student I can't conect with and tutor.
Look for tutors who will help you learn how to think and not just what to think. Writing is more than the words you write, but also the thoughts that power the words.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Determine the exact issue you are having. Are you having trouble spelling? Are you struggling with writers block? Are your sentance structures improper? The easiest way to fix an issue is to figure out the exact problem and work togther to fix it.
