About JENNIFER
Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my profile!
I have been teaching since 2003. Most of my experience is with students in grades PreK-3. I worked in the private school setting from 2003-2017.
After obtaining my Master's Degree in Reading Education, I began providing reading interventions for students. I did this for three years.
In 2017, I decided to stay home with my sons. Since then, I have been working online as an English tutor.
I am so excited about getting to know your child! Please contact me if you have any questions. I am flexible. I live in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. I can meet you at the Elk Grove Library or I can schedule online Zoom sessions.
Reading- Our first session or two will be used to assess your child. I would like to listen to him or her read and answer questions about the text. This helps me to learn where they are and what their strengths or weaknesses are. Once the assessments are complete, I can begin working with your child on improving those weaknesses.
Math- Please let me know if there is a certain area that your child needs help with. This way, I can bring appropriate practice sheets or counters/manipluatives that we can use for practice.
I love working with younger students! I especially love to teach reading and math. I love to see the light in a student's eyes when he or she "gets" it.
