About Erika
My mission is to help students of any age in their academic studies to achieve their highest potential and earn good grades in school from K - 12 as well as college. I have been helping students for over fifteen years. My specialty is language arts. I will show students how to master grammar, spelling, punctuating, and produce A+ essays, book reports, creative writing, term papers, and research papers.
I am an award-winning published writer/poet. I write literary and historical fiction exploring the psychological depths of her characters as they embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth. I earned my bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies from Wayne State University and my master’s degree in liberal studies from the University of Michigan.
I was a tutor at Macomb Community College in the learning center. I was the poetry editor of the Macomb Writers Club. I assisted students with term papers, theses, and reports using proper documentation such as MLA, APA, or CMOS. I helped young children learn to read and understand basic math concepts to get them ready for kindergarten.
Although my field is English language arts, I am bilingual with the ability to tutor German, and across the academic disciplines such as science and mathematics at all grade levels.
I enjoy working with students of all ages, ethnic and national backgrounds. I will accompany them on their learning journey to success.
