About Laini
I grew up helping my younger brothers with theit helping, and this morphed into tutoring my friends and peers in high school. I have yet to make a career out of teaching, but find great enjoyment out of helping others, espcially in regards to reading comprehension and writing form/style.
I am a current English Major who has excelled in literature comprehension, research and overall writing since the start of my educational career. I have recently completed an ESL course and have recieved a certificate for teaching english as a second language.

I like to get to know the student over coffee or over the phone in order to establish some sort of relationship. I'll ask questions about what kind of writing they enjoy, and what kind of writing they need more help with. By identifying the areas in writing criteria that need attention, I can then be a better asset to the student.
I have mostly worked with students in middle and/or high school students, but I am open to helping any student who is serious about improving their reading and writing skills.

Details
I prefer to discuss pricing with the individual(s) who plan on paying, I tend to price my lessons based on how much help I believe the student needs. I do ask for a base rate of $15 an hour, and may add to that depending on what it is I am preparing the student for (Prices may depend on comparing AP Writing Assignments vs. Poetry Assignments for example)
