About June
Hello! My name is June and I am studying Secondary English Education at NAU with an emphasis on American literature. I have several years of one-on-one tutoring experience and I currently work with English Language Learners at The Literacy Center in Flagstaff. I also have my TEFL/TESOL certification to teach English as a second language.
I am currently working towards my degree in Secondary English Education at NAU. I also have my certification to teach English as a second language and can present my certificate upon request.

My first lesson with a new student is always about evaluating their needs and goals, as well as getting to know them both as a learner and as an individual. Once I've become familiar with their needs, the student and I work together to come up with a plan that will best accomplish their learning goals.
Most of my experience is with middle school students, high school students, and adult learners.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I would advise students to spend an equal amount of time thinking about their strengths as they do on their weaknesses. Don't forget to take into account things you don't like doing, even though you might not want to!

Details
I ask for $20 for a one-hour tutoring session in the Flagstaff/Doney Park area. I do charge an extra $5 per session for students that are in Williams or Winslow. I don't want finances to get in the way of learning, however, so I am willing to negotiate pricing for low-income families.
