About Tamara
I have 30 years of experience teaching English and Russian to students of all ages. I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Maryland, College Park. During the last 16 years, I have been teaching English and Russian in public schools and as a private tutor. Previously, I taught Russian at an elite private school for seventeen years. I have a proven record of success with many of my students who consistently achieved honors in local and international competitions. My students applied their language skills in further studies and professional careers with great distinction.
I love teaching specific strategies that would help you develop and become proficient in all four language skills, namely reading, listening, writing, and speaking. In addition, I have been highly effective in helping my students acquire correct pronunciation in English and Russian.
I am certified in English and ESL.
