About Julia
My name is Julia and I am a first-grade teacher in Henrico County. I have been teaching for 5 years. Currently I am also working towards my MEd. in Educational Technology at James Madison University. I have experience teaching grades k-3. I also have experience teaching and working with exceptional education students. During this time of uncertainty it is important our children keep learning and growing. I would love to help your child in an area of concern. I have access to many curriculum materials and can use the districts pacing to help guide my instruction. Thank you for your time!
I wanted to be a teacher my whole life. After college I got my first teaching job and started tutoring students after hours.

First session I will need to assess the basic level and needs of the student if it is not already given to me. Then on my own I can create a short or long term individualized curriculum based on those needs.
I have worked with students ranging k-5.
The biggest thing that will set you back in your education is confidence. I have seen a student jump 6 reading levels, not from my "magic teaching", but because I finally got them to believe they could do it. You can accomplish anything you put your mind to. Teachers are just here to facilitate you in your journey.
A parent of a student from four years ago texted me to make sure my family and me were doing well during the pandemic. It just made me feel so loved and special.
