About Anna
I am an incoming freshman at Brown University planning to concentrate in chemistry. In high school, I tutored students in physics, biology, and physical sciences, but I am also comfortable tutoring students in english/literature, spanish, and math. I am also willing to tutor students on the SAT (I took the test twice and received a superscore of 1570-- 780 math, 790 english).
I began teaching in my early years of high school as a peer tutor. I helped students with their coursework in middle school and high school science courses including physical science, biology, and physics.
I recently graduated from the Bromfield school in Harvard Massachusetts, and I am now attending Brown University. In high school, I took challenging courses in the areas in which I plan to tutor, including AP chemistry, AP biology, AP statistics, AP spanish language and culture, AP literature, AP calculus AB, AP calculus BC, AP human geography, AP physics, and AP psychology. In high school, my GPA averaged 4.16 (unweighted).

When working with a new student, I like to start by assessing their needs. I will usually set up an introductory meeting during which we will get to know each other better, and talk about the student's strengths and weaknesses in a given subject. From there, we will work together to create a tutoring schedule which includes both in-person feedback and individual studying/learning sessions.
I have worked with both middle school and high school students, but I am also very comfortable tutoring elementary school students.
