About Kaitlin
I've been tutoring and working with students ages 5-18 to help improve their english, writing and editing skills on and off throughout college. I just graduated in May from a college in southern Virginia with a degree in English and work as a technical writer now for a government contractor in the DC area. My goal is to help students understand the foundation of writing to improve their skills for their future careers. Typically, I'll try to understand what the student is struggling with and figure out their learning strategy. I'll ask them questions to get them thinking about how they learn most effectively and brainstorm new ways for them to learn that might work even better.
I've worked with all ages and first began tutoring/mentoring with the Boys and Girls Club when I was attending college. I have a little brother who shares the same passion as I do for english and writing so that translated into helping other young students gain a passion for writing.
