About Manaal
I graduated from the University of Virginia in May 2020 with a BA in Cognitive Science and a concentration in Computer Science. My interests and skills vary from English writing, reading, and comprehension to coding. I am primarily interested in helping elementary and middle school students. I volunteered at a homework tutoring center in Herndon, VA for two years. In addition, I have worked as a substitute teacher since April 2017 for FCPS. All this experience has taught me new and unique ways to keep younger kids engaged in schoolwork and to develop their love for learning.
I love developing connections with students and helping them learn in a new way. I also enjoy discovering the various approaches that different students have towards the learning the same material. I enjoy working with a student's preferred style of learning to ensure that they get the most out of their learning experience.
