About Julia
Hello! I am so happy you clicked on my profile today. I am a former high school English teacher and elementary school counselor for 15 years. I now work as a home educator and private tutor. I have five years experience providing instruction and remediation in grades PreK-3rd grade. I am passionate about helping students succeed in academics and in life skills. Students that I work with learn the importance of setting attainable goals and to have a vision for what they want to achieve. We work together to find areas of strength that give them the boost of confidence they need to begin to tackle the harder, more challenging areas. With weekly progress monitoring, students see the gains they are making and provide the reinforcement they need to keep up the hard work.
