About Shelby
Over the last few years I have worked with Elementary Reading Specialists at the Wyomissing School District in Berks PA for grades k-4. I am passionate about encouraging students to find confidence in reading and writing, whether creative or topic driven.
I began my career of working with children at 19 where I worked with 3 and 4 year olds. That’s when I found my passion for watching them learn and grow. I then decided I wanted to work within a district and be able to help older children with the learning process.
While I do not have a degree in Elementary Education I have worked at an entry level position within the Wyomissing School District where I have been trained by educators who have all been in the field for around 10 years each. I worked closely with a variety of different teachers, all with their own unique teaching style which allowed me to pick up many techniques for what works best for all different types of learners.

I have worked with students all over the board. My focus was mainly learning support for any child that was slightly below the curve. However I also helped with the day to day questions of any child on pace or ahead as well.

A one hour session would be $20. This is because while I do not have my bachelors in Elementary Education, I do have multiple years of experience working in the field and being trained to do so by people who have been doing this for over 10 years.
