About Lexi
Hi, my name is Lexi! I graduated from UCLA with a degree in English and a minor in Education in 2021, and I'm currently a minor high English teacher in Santa Clarita. I'm looking to help middle and high school students bolster their critical reading and writing abilities. I have a long-standing love for fiction and writing, and want to help secondary students feel more confident in their abilities.
I think that everyone is capable of writing well, it just takes practice! I love helping peope turn their first draft into a best draft. I also love discussing books and literature, and I think fostering these conversations is essential for developing critical thinking. I also love working with teens - they make me laugh and keep me on my toes.
I started with peer mentoring in my high school music program, and from then I found my love for teaching others.
I received an English degree from UCLA, and I am a certified English teacher.
