About Marla
I've been tutoring for 10 years, covering nearly all subject areas, across all age demographics! From the preschool to high school level, I'll create a personalized plan to help you or your child reach your academic goals! I'm extremely flexible and offer virtual tutoring through Teams, Zoom, and Skype. I hope to work with you!
I have a passion for helping others and love helping students build confidence in struggle areas while achieving their academic goals!
I joined the Organization of Student Tutors (OST) in highschool and have been tutoring independently since then.
I have a bachelor's degree in Economics from Seton Hall University, where I am continuing my education and working towards an MBA in Supply Chain Management. I have been tutoring all throughout high school and college (over 10 years), from preschool aged children to peers my own age.

I begin by inquiring about the areas in which the student wants to improve, before evaluating their current skill level and designing a personalized curriculum, to help them reach their desired level of competency
I've worked with students of all ages and levels from preschoolers learning to read and write, to elementary and grade school students trying to stay on top of their school work, to high schoolers taking AP classes and studying for the SAT's
Ask questions, even if you feel like they're silly. Decide what subjects you want to improve on and think of a measurable goal you'd like to achieve. Whether it's acing your next test or raising your overall grade, set a goal that can be defined. Don't be afraid to speak up if you feel like your tutor is moving to fast, they're there to help.
