About Claire
I enjoy watching people begin to understand the information they are learning and begin gaining confidence in those subjects. It's a rewarding process to help others.
I like to work with younger kids to help them develop writing and study skills that will equip them for their future.
I also specialize in Latin tutoring.
I studied Classical Latin from 3rd grade through Highschool. I was the California state Latin champion in all around academics as well as all around arts. I have a wide breadth of knowledge in this subject. I have also worked with many people with their writing. Most of my work has been geared towards essay editing in levels from 1st grade, all the way through people working on Med school applications. I received a 4 on the English Literature AP exam in Highschool as well as high A's on English courses and written work during college.
I am currently enrolled at Diablo Valley College working towards a degree in biological science. with all my years of education I am able to help extensively with English and Latin, as well as in depth studying for all subjects.

I like to begin by asking them general big concept questions that have regarding their subject so I can begin to get a quick idea of what the lessons should be focused on. I also like to see past tests and homework so view patterns of mistakes that can be worked on. From there we can build a plan for success together. I like to have a positive environment for them and work past negative feelings they may have toward the subject or their abilities. Building confidence is key for students success so I try to support that as much as possible while Kuching them to their goals.
