About Kai
I have always had a passion for reading and writing. I have taught high school students for 2 years and have successfully taught effective essay writing skills and test taking strategies. My goal in life is to inspire students to become amazing readers and writers. I will help students with their grammar, writing and comprehension skills.
I enjoy watching students grow into advanced learners of literature. They also inspire me to work harder and find new and effective ways to help students learn.
As a high school student, I volunteered to tutor elementary students during my free time. As a college students, I tutor children of all ages around my community.
I have attended several English courses during my college career. I am still attending multiple English courses. In addition, I have narrowed my niche to children's literature several times so I can have a better understanding of literature for children.

My typical process for working with new students is to understand what they are struggling with. We can look through past and current work together to see what their strengths and weaknesses are. I will then build up their weaknesses to become strengths so they feel more confident in their work.
I have worked with elementary and middle school students mostly, but I am here to help all students in searh for guidance.
Recently, I was tutoring a little boy on his reading and writing skills. At first, he had a hard time reading advanced books, but as we worked together he became confident in his reading skills. Now, he isn't afraid to tackle more advanced readings.
