About Gianna
I am a college junior studying applied psychology with a specialization in child and adolescent mental health at NYU.
I have 3 years of experience working as an elementary and middle school tutor in all subject areas.
I have been a babysitter/nanny for 8 years, which often requires me to assist in homework completion.
I was the president of the future teachers club in high school, where I implemented a free community tutoring program available to all K-8 students in the Connetquot school district.
Last year while studying abroad I volunteered in an Italian school, to teach English to 4th grade students each week.
This year I worked with the L-FELD research team through NYU, which gave me the opportunity to work in minority-population based pre-k classrooms in the South Bronx.
Having gone through the college application process myself 3 years ago, I feel I have the unique quality of being able to relate to, understand, and be up-to-date on the current process students are going through and could be a great resource.
