About Sarah
Hi! I'm Sarah and I'm a certified ESOL/EFL/ESL tutor! I have been an online ESL tutor since July 2021. I love helping students reach their English language goals. Seeing them excited as they make progress in learning a new language is so rewarding!
What I enjoy most about tutoring students is seeing them become more confident and able to express themselves more in a foreign language. As their skills grow, they can talk about more things, which opens up more conversations for them.
I found jobs online and connected with another company whom I do a small amount of tutoring for currently. I'm looking to expand my student base and meet more amazing students!
I am TESOL/TEFL/TESL certified through International TEFL and TESOL Training. I have also been working as an online tutor since July 2021.

For the first few lessons, my focus is on getting to know the student, as well as letting them get to know me. We will talk about their motivations for learning English and their goals, while learning more about the language!
I have worked mostly with adults, but have had a few younger middle-school aged students.
If you feel like you aren't connecting with the tutor, or their personality isn't a good fit with your own, don't hesitate to change tutors. The right tutor makes a big difference. If there isn't a connection, or the tutor's personality clashes with your own, it can make learning a new language difficult or unpleasant.
Two of my students follow me on social media, and one of them has discovered I enjoy Korean food, so when she made a post recently, she tagged me and asked whether I would enjoy the food she was sharing.
