About David
I got started when I moved to NYC in 2013 and was looking to find a way to balance my love of reading and writing with a means of helping students in my community achieve their academic goals.
I have worked for the past 6 years at Brownstone Tutors and Smith Street Workshop in Brooklyn. I have also taught writers of all ages at The Gotham Writers' Workhop, and currently teach college freshman at Parsons School of Design.

I typically meet with the student and their parents to get a sense of what their needs are, and where their challenges tend to be. Then I come up with a detailed plan, in consultation with the student's parents, to achieve their goals as efficiently as possible.
I have worked with dozens, if not hundreds, of students over the past 6 years. I have worked with students from all around the world, in grades 3 through 12, and have helped them achieve their goals on tests such as the SHSAT, SAT, SSAT, ISEE, as well as earn admission to colleges such as Princeton.
I would advise them to meet with me, in person or remotely, to get a sense of my personality and how well it would fit with theirs. Nothing is more important than a great personal connection.
My second novel is being published tomorrow. I worked on this book for 7 years, so I'm extremely proud of this achievement. I bring the same level of dedication and determination to my teach and tutoring work, and aim to impart this can-do attitude to my students.
