About Liadh
Hello!
My name is Liadh Mesch and I'm a sophomore at Barnard College of Columbia University. I am studying History and English so I have lots of experience writing essays, analyzing texts, etc. I grew up in London but studied in the American school system so I took APs.
I am a professionally trained writing fellow in the Barnard/Columbia writing center where I work with students on their writing. We believe writing is a process that happens in stages, in different drafts. Writing is revision - re-seeing. All writers, no matter how accomplished, can benefit from discussing their work with an intelligent reader and then revising it. As a writing fellow, I'm an educated reader, specially selected and trained. I work with students on written assignments to help clarify, organize, and strengthen content, so that a non-expert can understand the assignment.
I would love to help you with your writing!
I love to help students write because you learn so much from a student's text. At the end of a day of tutoring, I feel like I know more about everything from clam fishing to the history of the Irish potato famine!
