About Lily
Hi!
I'm excited to offer my tutoring services in English, writing, and history.
I graduated from Barnard College with academic honors, and I've worked as a tutor for Barnard and Columbia students for 3 years and have an additional 2 years of experience in the field of education.
I believe in empowering my students by teaching them transferrable skills that ensure their long term success. My services have consistently improved students' grades and understandings of the subject matter they study. I also have experience working with students with learning disabilities.
There are many reasons I love tutoring. Helping students achieve their potential and overcome obstacles is a deeply fulfilling experience. The one-on-one nature of tutoring is a fantastic way to connect with a student and use personalized techniques to fit their tutoring needs.
As a Writing Fellow at Barnard, I completed rigorous training on tailoring instruction and communication to students’ individual learning styles. In this role, I tutored students in writing from a broad range of academic fields, ranging from biology to poetry.
After my work as a Writing Fellow, I taught courses at a museum and helped develop the curriculum for a New York early education program.

I've worked with students with learning disabilities, non-native English speakers, Ivy League college students, primary school, students, and high school students.
