About Tamara
I create fun and engaging ways to create a love for learning in your child. At Toolbox to Success we aim for every child to be able to engage with the curriculum at their level, helping them for feel empowered and successful in their learning.
I am a licensed teacher with a Masters in Education. I have over 10 years of experience as a lead teacher in grades Kindergarten to sixth grade. During my time as a classroom teacher I taught a variety of students with unique learning styles.
I am an active participant in ongoing education such as the international Dyslexia Association. I have been trained in programs that are used for general and specialized education, such as Lucy Calkins Reading and Writing Workshop, Wilson Reading Systems, Wilson Fundations, Touch Math, Leveled Literacy Intervention, Singapore and SWUN math.

During our first initial meeting we will discuss your concerns about your child's learning and any presenting problems they are experiencing in or out of the classroom.
Following our intake meeting your child and I will meet together to conduct an informal assessment. During this process I will observe their reading, writing, and executive functioning skills. I will then create a tailored learning plan specific to your child's learning needs, including short term and long term goals.
Your child and I will begin to meet on a weekly basis to wrok towards those goals. During this time if students are struggling with specific skills taught in the classroom we will address their difficulties to solidfy conceptns and make the learning more accessible to them.
You will recive bi-monthly reports detailing what your child is working on, their successes and next steps.
