About Tommy
I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies at Berkeley, and I am currently a JD/MBA candidate at the University of San Diego. As a law student and liberal arts graduate, I have extensive experience researching, reading, writing, and editing. I am also an associate editor for the San Diego International Law Journal, so I regularly revise legal thesis papers for grammitical, citational, and stylistic improvements. As a current student, I am still familiar with the typical course plans for high school and undergraduate English and Literature classes as well as ACT and SAT prep course. I am willing to work with students of all levels in English, Writing, Literature, or any related subject.
I enjoy helping other students by offering another perspective on their readings and writing. Further, I understand the typical English material taught in high school, ACT and SAT prep, and undergrad courses, and I would like to use this experience to help younger students through these steps.

Considering that English is a very process-oriented subject, I like to first observe how students write, read, and process information before making suggestions and revisions. A firm grasp on the most basic functions in writing, grammar, and language can improve a student's performance in English greatly. I would start with these simplest conventions first depending on the student's course, test, or assignment.

Tommy was super easy to work with and was willing to work on anything I had to work on. He was helpful prepping for tests and essay writing.
Tommy understood how to prioritize information and practice that actually helped in class. He made it very easy to study for grammar related tests and would revise class papers whenever I needed him to.
Tommy helped me a lot with structuring and writing my essays. Outside of tutoring sessions he was always available to read and revise my essays for class.
He was very clear in his feedback and prompt with his replies. Obvious he is knowledgeable in the field and able to work with various levels and writing styles.
