About Julia
I have a wide range of both tutoring and working with children. In addition to tutoring underprivileged students and volunteering as a zoo summer camp counselor, I have excelled in IB, AP, and Honors courses at a nationally ranked high school.
I enjoy helping others and giving back to the community. Working as an EMT and tutor allows me to use my skills to assist those in need.
I started through a volunteer program through my school that paired me with underpriveleged students in need of math tutoring. I also began on the side in the subjects of English, math, history, and science.
I am a graduate of the Academy of Medical Science and Technology at the Bergen County Academy, a top rated magnet high school in the US. I am currently a student at Rutgers University- New Brunswick. I have experience in tutoring underpriveleged students math, as well as tutoring at my school. I also worked with children in the past as a summer camp counsoler at a zoo and church.

I first like to understand the obstacles the student is facing and then I take it from there. I want the student to undertand the topic and be proud of his or her work whether it may be from doing practice problems together or perfecting the final details on an essay.
I worked primarily with elementary and middle school students, but also tutored high school students.
