About Malina
I am a ceritifed teacher who is currently working in the public school system. This means I am staying current on the best methods to teach students and have access to a wide variety of resources.
I most enjoy working with students to achieve their greatest learning potential. I know how frustrating it can be to do your best and still feel confused. Sometimes tutoring in a one on one setting can be the most beneficial thing for both students learning as well as their confidence.
I recieved my bachelors degree in elementary education in 2015 and was hired for a 5th grade reading and writing position 3 years ago. I lead with my love for students and their ability to learn.
I am a certified EC-6 elementary school teacher with an ESL certification who is currently employed by a title 1 public shcool district. I have 3 years of experience working with upper elementary students in the areas of reading, writing, grammar, word study, and test prep.

Determine the students greatest need. Determine how they learn best and the ways they are currently learning the content. Use various strategies to teach or re-teach studnets in a way that best suites their learning styles.
I have worked with students from all walks of life and acheivement gaps. Each year my classroom is filled with a wide variety of students. My classroom population has consisted of students who are facing homelessness, learning gaps, dyslexia, English as a second language, etc. I also have students who are gifted and talented and learning beyond their grade level. Each year I work to cater to all of my students needs and meet them at their indivudal learning levels an then grow them beyond that in a safe environment. I also have experience prepping my students for the state test that is given at the end of each year.
