About Cayla
I am a current freshman at the University of Washington, studying Business administration at the Michael G. Foster School of Business. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and graduated high school from Canyon Crest Academy with a 4.2 GPA.
I have always had a passion for teaching and have worked as a TA at academic summer programs. As classes have been moved online, I have seen the challenges firsthand of working remotely, and have discovered practices that work for me. I would love to be able to help younger students adjust to this new format of learning, and encourage them to continue thriving in their academics.
I took rigorous academics in high school and college, including AP Lang and AP Lit, AP Environmental Science, AP Government, and AP Psychology. In college I have taken English composition classes, business pre-calculus, and economics.
I have provided math tutoring up to a tenth grade level, and took Integrated Math 1-3 in high school, and am very familiar with the curriculum.

For a first lesson, I like for students to send me the topic they need assistance with, so I can properly prepare a lesson plan. After a first meeting, we can create a schedule optimal for the students needs, whether it be weekly meetings, on a question by question basis, or something else.
