About Nicole
A personal connection and feeling encouraged make for a safe educational environment. If my students feel safe, they are more apt to take risks in their learning. The scariest thing for most people is being wrong. I pride myself on creating a safe place for learning and exploring. Maintaining high expectations paired with encouragement and professionalism is the trifecta in any classroom, in my opinion. It's then that learning happens and a love of learning begins. That is my goal - for my students to love learning above all else.
Having taught TK-aged children through adult, as well as two degrees in development and education, I have a good handle on the developmental needs of a multitude of ages.
Hands down, the highlight of teaching others is when my students experience that 'ah ha' moment, and knowing that I helped them along in their understanding and moving towards their goal. I also love growing a personal relationship and connection with my students, and being able to point out the progress that is made over time working together. Helping other fulfill their dreams and goals is so satisfying as an instructor.
