About Robert
I began my teaching career as director of a summer Shakespeare academy for high school students, and have also taught Acting Shakespeare, a graduate course, at Wesleyan University, and classes at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts. I have been helping students succeed in their academic courses and prepare for standardized tests for fifteen years.
I am a professional actor, who has also written, produced, and. hosted classical music radio programs; edited publications for institutions, including the New York Philharmonic, 92nd Street Y, and the Shubert Theater, New Haven; and written test for online college courses in English Composition and American Govrnment.

First, I talk to students to find out more about them and their goals. After a brief discussion, I work with them to design a course of study that can meet those goals.
I have worked with students in middle school through graduate school.
Talk to the teacher before making a decision. See if he or she is the right teacher for you. I like to have a phone conversation with a student or parent before a decision is made.
I had the opportunity to teach a class (at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts) in Shakespeare performance at the same time I was playing Claudius in HAMLET in the evenings. I found that each experience informed and enriched the other.
