About Tiana
I've always known that I wanted to teach! During my graduate program, I worked as a substitute teacher for K-12 teachers. This allowed me to determine which ages I preferred working with. I was able to see that my true passion is teaching elementary students!
I have a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services.
I have a Master's in Elementary Education.
I've worked as an elementary teacher for six years.
I am also very comfortable teaching via Zoom or Google Meets. Most of the past couple of years have been taught using a hybrid model.

I like to get to know new students by asking what their interests are, what struggle areas are present for them, and which areas they find are strengths.
I've worked with students of all ages. My specialty lies with those who are in the 3rd-6th grade.
Go with whichever tutor you feel like you could develop the best working relationship with. In my experience, students have a difficult time thriving if the rapport isn't there.
One of my most recent fond memories was when one of my student's math scores shot way up! She had worked so hard to improve in math and I was so proud of her. Watching her gain confidence in the classroom (especially whole group) was unbelievably rewarding. She even said on the last day of school, "I love math!"
