About James
I have studied language and literature for over ten years. I have lived abroad in Taiwan for five years, learning Chinese and teaching English and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. My methods for language acquisition were acquired during college when I learned to translate ancient Greek. If I can translate Homer's Odyssey at sight, I can help you learn whatever it is you need to know about languages.
I have been teaching since I studied in college. I tutored grade school students and college students part-time.
I have a BA in classical literature from Brooklyn College and over six years of teaching experience. I currently work at High Meadow School as a teacher but due to the pandemic, I have moved my teaching online for the time being.

I charge $30 per hour. If paid in advance, I charge $25 per hour for five classes and $20 per hour for ten classes.
