About Leigh
I have both the teaching experience and the education needed to support students in all of their reading and writing endeavors. I graduated from Emory University with a dual degree in English and Creative Writing and Classical Civilizations. In addition to that, I also have six years of experience in tutoring a multitude of ages, from elementary to college students, and have one year of experience teaching in a charter school setting. With these tools, and my additional certification from the New York State Teaching Certification Program, I readily implement all of my knowledge and experience when interacting with students to give them the most versatile tools possible.
I have six years of experience in tutoring all age groups, from elementary to college students, one year of classroom experience teaching English, Writing, and American Literature at a charter school. Patience and made sure I understood
Leigh is a very talented writer and teacher—she explains things very clearly, but she doesn't just hand you the answers either. She has had a lot of experience with teaching in general, and that clearly comes across in how she presents information. She knows how to rephrase and use examples if an explanation isn't understood initially, which helped me a lot with organizing and brainstorming essays. She has a very analytical mind, and she was very good at asking questions that really made me think!
Ms. Pirch really helped me understand how to take my essays to the next level. She was prompt and professional. My scores have been steadily going up with each session and assignment.
