About Laura

I have worked in education for 5 years, and love working with students and watching them grow. I am currently a paraprofessional in Milwaukee Public Schools, but am in the midst of getting a K-9 teaching license. I have tutored students for many years, in school and in after school programming. My strengths are teaching reading, writing, and social studies. However I'm always willing to learn with the student in other subjects along the way.

LinkedIn Profile: (concealed information)

Have always loved helping others and watching others grow and learn.

I have worked in a school setting for about 10 years going between tutoring, teaching, and being a paraprofessional/teaching assistant in an elementary school. I am in the midst of getting my K-9 teaching license.

About the lesson

Meet with student and find out what they are looking for and what they would like to get out of tutoring. Ask student how they like to learn i.e. videos, worksheets, projects, etc. and create a plan from there.

I've worked with students aged 5-15.

I've worked with students from all kinds of backgrounds.
