About James
Hello, I am a middle school English teacher with a b.a. in political science/psychology. I have over 13 years of experience working with and tutoring children. I also tutor in math, science, and almost any other subject. In my free time I like to read, write, play sports, write music, and generally enjoy life.
I use a student based method when I teach, which first starts with getting to the root of why or what is making a student struggle, I then look at what they are succeeding in, and use their strengths to help build their confidence and approach/work on their more difficult areas. I also specialize in a focus, bring Ken down, methodical yet precise method in giving out the work or coming up with exercises to make sure things are simple and precise, and learned accurately for any subject.
