About Daniel
The flute is an astoundingly rich, diverse, and powerful instrument to play, and I look forward to helping you or your young, budding flutist make the most of it!
I have seven years of experience helping complete beginners, students in school band/orchestra programs, and those preparing for regional level auditions discover their best tone and musicality.
When I'm not playing the flute, I'm working toward my Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Brown University, where I am rotating principal flutist of the Brown University Orchestra (BUO) as well as an occasional chamber musician. Prior to attending university, I played 1st Flute in the NJ All-State Orchestra as well as 1st Flute in the NJ All-State Wind Ensemble. In 2015, I had the honor of playing 2nd Flute in the NAfME All-National Symphony Orchestra. Over the years, I have trained with masters of the art, including faculty of The Mannes School and The Juilliard School.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
"But I can't read music yet"
Not a problem! As a monophonic instrument, the flute is a great starting place to learn how to read all the ink on the page.
"I didn't start playing as early as the other kids. Is it too late?"
Learners from atypical and non-traditional backgrounds are of particular interest to me. I was 15 years old when I booked my first flute lesson, and I am determined to meet you where you are to help you achieve your goals.
