About Michael
I have been a flutist for 16 years, and have studied classical flute extensively with Anne Gerdes and Kristen Kean. I have performed in masterclasses with Denis Bouriakov, Goran Marcusson, Randy Bowman, and Heather Verbeck.
I focus on developing strong, supported tones, precise technique, and developing lyricism for all levels.
I have been playing flute for 17 years, and have studied with Anne Gerdes and Dr. Kristen Kean. I have performed in masterclasses with Denis Bouriakov (LA Philharmonic), Randy Bowman (Cincinnati Symphony), Heather Verbeck, Leone Buyse, and Swedish flutist Goran Marcusson.

The first lesson is considered a preliminary consultation, and is provided at no cost. I assess posture, breathing, tone production, and level of prowess within the first lesson, and listen to the goals the student has. From there, I create lesson plans and goals to be met at a weekly, monthly, and long term basis.
