About Madison
I have always been an enthusiastic learner and I've been fortunate enough to be able to share my love of learning with others!
Here is a little about myself so you can get a better read on my credentials and achievements:
I am currently studying to be an elementary school teacher with an early childhood & ESL endorsement.
I have been tutoring for 4 years. The ages of the children I have tutored range from 5-17 years old. I have experience tutoring individuals with special needs such as ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, autism, and down syndrome.
Key Achievement:
Created an interactive study method
8-year-old child with hyperactive-impulsive ADHD. After 2 months, the child's behavior had improved at school and home. The child's guided reading level increased from J to L and core subject grades improved.
Social Science: Democracy, Diversity and Social Justice in Grades K-5 Planned and delivered instruction on civic participation and Illinois' democratic principles to students in grades 1st-5th
Reading & Language Arts in Primary Grades: Planned and delivered Language Arts instruction centered around phonics, reading, and SEL to students in K-5th
Created and implemented interactive technology resources & digital literacy tools into the lessons
Created standards-based Language Arts lessons using the Common Core State Standard curriculum
I can tutor grades K-12 in math, science, Language Arts, history, and speech
I have my license to substitute, and I will be graduating in May with my license to teach grades 1-6th.
I have a Bachelors in Mathematics and I will be obtaining my teaching license in middle and Elem. school in the spring
