About Flor
Hello, nice to meet you all. I am new to tutoring online. I worked at the Salt Lake City School District for three years as an after school group leader. I have worked with students from kindergarten to seventh grade. I have helped them with their homework. This is my first time trying an online tutoring.
I am majoring in education and enjoy helping others. I believe that working in this tutoring program will truly help me get more exposure to helping students with their school homework. It will also help me gain more experience for the profession I plan on following.
I been interested in teaching my whole life. I started with volunteer oppurtunities. As of now I love teaching and continuing in school to obtain a bachelor's degree.
I have an associates degree in pre-education. I am currently going to the University of Utah to obtain a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I am also working towards an ESL endorsement and a minor in special education. I have worked for the Salt Lake City School District, so I been to multiple tranings such as behaviroal trainings. I also have a clear background check!

When working with a new student, I like to get to know the student. I like to introduce myself and get to know them as a person. I am aware that in order for a student to talk to an adult, we should make them feel comfortable around you and know what troubles they have in the subjects they find challenging.
I have worked with diverse students. I have worked with students from Kindergarten al the way up to 7th grade. I have also worked with students with disabilities. I was a special education paraprofessional at a middle school.
They should make sure that their teacher will help them in the areas they might find challenging.
