About Emily
I am a flexible and versatile German teacher and former Fulbright scholar. From Kindergarten to Graduate school , I have taught or tutored all levels in German!
I love working with all types of students ! Whether it's studying for an exam or wanting to become a fluent German speaker , I am here to help you!
I knew I wanted to teach German after going to Germany in 2009! I wanted to give students the same experience I had while in school. What other class gives you the opportunity to converse with someone around the world ?

- I like to get to know the student first. What kind of learner are they ? How do they learn best? Once I know this , I can start to plan my lessons tailored to that student's needs
- I then create personal and detailed lessons depending on what the student needs .
- We have an intro lesson and I assess throughout the lesson to see what the student needs more/ less of next lesson!

Depending on the need of the student , I use the following guideline
$50/ hour - Students with no prior knowledge and no materials
$45/ hour- Students with some knowledge of German and may/may not have materials
